Waterfront homes for sale in Bloomfield & West Bloomfield – Wing Lake & Pine Lake

Choosing the right lakefront home in Southeastern Michigan can be trying.  All of our local lakes are very different.  I am going to share with you two lakes that I would consider in the same category for one reason.  They are both in high end areas.  So many higher demographic clients want these lakes because of the prestige of the lake, the community, and the schools. The key word in real estate is location.  These lakes are in the right location

I wanted to share with you 2 videos on Lake homes on Bloomfield & West Bloomfield Lakes – Wing Lake in Bloomfield MI and Pine Lake in West Bloomfield in Oakland County Michigan MI.  Pine Lake in West Bloomfield is one of the premier lakes in the area.  I would label the lake as “upper end lake”  with quite a few luxury lakefront estate homes.  You are going to find that most of the homes on the lake will range from over $500,000 to over a million dollars in price.  If you were just going to compare apples to apples for the same size house to say a  waterfront home on Lake Oakland in Waterford MI you will find that you can get more for your money on Lake Oakland.

Pine Lake Homes

Pine Lake is a private all sports lake at 395 acres and a maximum depth of 90 feet.  Pine Lake Country Club sits on the lake and they also have a marina that has a small ski school.  I would say the boating traffic on the lake is fairly light except on weekends and major holidays.  Waterfront homes on Pine Lake in Oakland County range from about 1000 square foot to over 11000 square feet.  You will find the bigger homes on the lake have some good size lots.  On one side of the lake there is a road between the lake and the homes.

Now Wing Lake in Bloomfield is different than Pine Lake in several aspects.  One it is a smaller lake and two it is not an all sports lake.  Wing Lake in Oakland County is an electric motor or hand power lake.  So you are not going to have noisy jet skis or loud drag boats on the lake.  It is similar to Pine Lake in that it has many beautiful high end homes on the lake.

Wing Lake West Bloomfield MI

The lake has no public access though an association does have a  beach area on the lake.  The lake is 108 acres in size.  The waterfront homes on Wing Lake range in size from about 1600 square foot to over 7000 square foot in size.  I myself really like the lake because of the large mature trees and spacious lots.  Plus the children on the lake have the option of going to Bloomfield Hills Schools.  So if you do want a quiet lake to enjoy swimming, kayaking, or paddling around on I think you will like Wing Lake.  If you want to water ski, tube, or wakeboard this isn’t the lake for you.
