My real estate agent didn’t care about me – all they wanted to do was sell me a house
I have heard that too many times lately? Many homeowners are now regretting they bought Michigan homes in the last few years. They bought at the top of the market. They paid top dollar. They wanted “that home”. They had to have “that home”.
The failure was the real estate agent did not give them the comps. The real estate agent did not give them recent sold home prices in the area. Would it have made a difference? Maybe, Maybe not. Some Metro Detroit home buyers do look at them and reconsider the home purchase. If the Northville home or Plymouth home was over priced I have had home buyers back away. Refuse to pay top dollar. In hot markets sometimes you have to pay top dollar to get the home you want. When the market turns like the metro Detroit real estate market has in the last few years some people get left holding the bag.
It’s like musical chairs. I know people that made lots of money on two or three home purchases they made in the last 15 years. But now all the money they made has gone out the window and they are living in a home way to large for their needs. They have been left holding the bag. Some of them are upset. They need somebody to blame. I’m just glad I wasn’t their Realtor.
Unfortunately some real estate agents do just want to make a sale. If you want a Michigan realtor that is not afraid of giving you the true facts then give me a call on my cell. Read some of my testimonials. I don’t care if you take 8 months to make a decision on which home to buy. I want you to get the home you want. I’ll give you the information you need to make a good decision. And I won’t give you the line in the second house “wow this is a fantastic home you should put in an offer right away.” I’m low key. I step back and let you and your family make your decision.
