Livonia crime – Why I love Livonia
| If you are moving to Michigan Livonia is one of the many cities I would check out. Why I love Livonia is that there is very little crime. What is Livonia crime rate and what is Livonia like? I lived in Livonia for 22 years. I believe it is a great city to buy a home in, to live and raise a family. In the 22 years there I never had my house broken into, my car broken into, or anything vandalized. At one time it was voted in the top 10 of the safest cities for it size in America . Sure there is crime, but you walk safely around your neighborhood or anywhere in the city without fear of getting robbed or attacked. There is no “good” or “bad” part of the city. I have seen single women walking their dogs at 6 am and late at night in deserted parks. There is no fear of anything happening to them. Now I’m not saying there isn’t random crime. Sure kids cause mischief and do some vandalism here and there. Sure we have robberies and auto theft. But it is not prevalent. And yes occasionally every few years we have a murder. It is not a crime free city. But you will not find spray painted graffiti around the city. You won’t find gangs on the corners, or drug houses operating openly in the city. It just a city that is just main stream. Livonia has a good police force that keeps the lid on crime. We really don’t have neighborhood watches. Neighbors just look out for each other and their homes. It is a place where you can allow your kids to roam freely around the neighborhood or walk to school. Yes we may have the creeps that could prey on our children. Yes not everybody that lives in Livonia may be a sterling citizen. But Livonia is relatively crime free and is a great place to live.
