The Farmington Hills Youth Theatre will take audiences on a magical journey to the enchanting world of make believe, when that wonderful hero of childhood, Peter Pan, comes to the Costick Center stage for its production of the classic tale “Peter Pan.”
The Youth Theatres production will provide affordable, family entertainment to all in six delightful performances, featuring over 140 children, teens and adults in two casts. Six performances will take place Thursday Sunday, November 15 – 18. Tickets to all shows are only $10; children 3 and under are free. “Peter Pan,” adapted from the famous book by J. M. Barrie, is as ageless as its namesake. For all of us adults and children alike who wish to escape to an adventurous “Never Never Land,” this is the perfect tale of magic and dreams, full of swashbuckling pirates, Indian princesses, and a tenacious, brave team of Lost Boys. Peter leads the way for Wendy and her brothers, with his feisty sidekick Tinkerbell. Great music, dancing, and, of course, a very determined crocodile, add to the spectacle. Performances are as follows: Thursday and Friday, November 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, November 17 and 18 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Tickets are now available at the Costick Center, online at https://recreg.fhgov.com (scroll to the bottom) or may be reserved by calling 877-785-7763. Tickets will also be available at the door. The Costick Center is located at 28600 W. Eleven Mile Road in Farmington Hills. The Farmington Hills Youth Theatre was created 10 years ago by the Cultural Arts Division of the City ofFarmington Hills, in conjunction with Skys the Limit Productions. Since then, the program has produced two major productions per year, and has included thousands of children in its performances and audiences. The Cultural Arts Division also offers a variety of theater camps throughout the summer for both beginners and advanced actors at the beautiful Players Barn Theatre in Farmington Hills, and “Script to Stage,” a performance class for younger actors attending kindergarten 3rd grade.
