Yes the Metro Detroit real estate market is very slow. Yes Metro Detroit homes are selling very cheaply. Yes I would recommend you not to sell unless you have to.
But you have to remember that life is still going on. People are still moving in and out of Michigan. People are still getting married and buying Oakland County real estate. Home buyers are still relocating to Michigan because of job transfers. Couples are getting divorced and having to sell and buy Wayne County real estate.
I have had people come up to me and say “I’m sorry to hear you are in real estate, you must be looking for another job” I have had a great year so far. I have had a lot of home buyers. They are still buying homes and starting new lives.
