Ah the meddling mother

Well my son’s wedding is finally getting close. As some of you know I lost my wife Marianne a few years ago to breast cancer. So in the beginning of my son’s wedding planning I became that meddling mother. Some of it came from wanting to do what Marianne would have wanted.

So when certain relatives were not being invited and the plans were not quite what Marianne would have wanted I spoke up. Boy did I learn quick what meddling mother’s got. I learned quick to shut my mouth and let the bride and groom do what they wanted.

I learned to be seen and not heard….it was safer. No family feuds. They wanted a simple park wedding and they have planned what they wanted. I am sure it will be great, but I still worry

But are you sure you have enough seats? Enough beverages? And don’t you think we should have water bottles instead of a water jug? I’m just asking…
