5 Selling Home Tips – Northville Homes

I have listed below 5 selling home tips for your Northville Home.  These useful tools can make a difference when selling your Northville Home. The potential buyer looks at neatness and organization.  So these 5 selling home tips are only suggestions in hope that you will find it helpful when selling yourNorthville Home.

1) Need to dress up a window but don’t want to shell out big bucks for window treatments?  Here’s a trick: Use place mats. First, apply a hook-and-loop fastener to the place mats and attach them in a row to a basic curtain rod. Now that the place mats are attached to the curtain rods, pin them together at the bottom, and you’ll have a stylish valance that costs about $12.  My wife did that in the kitchen to coincide with the holidays.  I would have never thought about it but it works and it is very reasonable.

2) Think Volume Rock-and-roll will never die. But it might kill a real estate transaction. When it’s time to show your home, it’s time to turn down the stereo or TV.

3) New kitchen appliances bring high returns from sellers.  Studies show that new kitchen appliances bring high returns from sellers, so get rid of old appliances that make the rest of the kitchen look dated. Once you install the new equipment, it will scream “new kitchen,” and you will see that spending a little money will make you even more.

4) Take a look around you. Do you have items in your home that are unused and have no real sentimental value? If so, get rid of them! These types of items can often be found in closets, cupboards, basements, and garages. Sometimes they are on bookshelves or even in your everyday living space. The more you are able to move out the more the next buyer will want to “move in.”

5) All “faces” have to be packed into boxes for the move. This includes ALL family photos and portraits. Take down and then rearrange paintings, remaining photos and other objects on the walls. Also pack all animal trophy heads and mounted fish. (They spook people with their glassy eyes)  And animal lovers hate a house with trophies in it.  They will not buy it.  Leave one wall clear in each room to “rest” the eyes of visitors. Patch and re-paint if necessary.
