White Lake is White Lake Township’s largest lake. It is relatively a large lake with two islands. There are lots of nice White Lake waterfront properties on this lake. Homes on the east side of the lake sit above the lake (Ridge Rd). So there are stairs needed to get down to the lake. On the west and north side of the lake most of the homes are level with the lake. Oxbow Lake White Lake Township MI
Oxbow Lake has a very large population of swans. There is a bar on the lake called Sprader’s on the Lake. The southern part of the lake runs right along Elizabeth Lake Rd. So there are quite a few homes right on Elizabeth Lake Rd. This Lake is part of the Huron River Chain. It is fed upstream by Tull Lake and Pontiac Lake. The run off from the lake flows into Cedar Island Lake. The architectural styles of homes are mostly ranches and colonials though you will find bungalows, cape cods, split level homes, and contemporary homes.. Like most Oakland County MI Lakes there are not a lot of wide open spaces or privacy. The homes are not widely spaced apart. There is plenty of lake access homes near Oxbow Lake!

Cedar Island Lake White Lake MI
Cedar Island Lake is not a round lake. I would say it is more like a u-shaped lake with many fingers going off in different directions. There are canals and little bays that many lake front homes are situated on. On those little bays and canals you get the pleasure of living on the water but with little boat noise and no boat traffic. Cedar Island Lake Oakland County is a all sports lake. It would be classified as a small lake. Like most of Michigan inland lakes lake traffic during the week is quiet. During the weekend all the Cedar Island homeowners come out to play on the lake.

Tull Lake, White Lake Twp, Michigan is a private all-sports lake that is relatively small (about 90 acres). If you are looking for a quiet lake this may the lake for you. It does not allow jet skis on the lake and there is limits on size of motors and size of boats on the lake.Tull Lake is a round shaped lake with quite a few different small bays. It also has 3 small islands on the lake. Two of them are on the main lake and one is in one of the bays. The lake bottom is sandy in most areas so the lakefront properties on Tull Lake are great for home buyers that are looking for lakefront properties that you can walk out and swim from. So many of Southeastern Michigan lakes are mucky so this lake is great for swimming in front of your home.

Brendel Lake Oakland county Mi
Brendel Lakefront homes. The real estate on the lake varies. Brendel Lake isn’t what I would call an upper end lake. Many of the homes were built in the 1920 -1960’s. Many of them are smaller cottages. Though, there is one lake home that is over 4000 square feet. That’s more of an exception. Most of Brendel lake real estate are modest homes. Brendel Lake does have a neighborhood association that has a small park and beach access for some homes that are not on the lake. There is no DNR public access or no public beach. Brendel Lake is a relatively narrow lake with 5 bays that are finger like. It isn’t a large lake but it is big enough to ski on. One of the residents told me it was a quiet lake. Brendel Lake feeds to Mud Lake and Lake Neva.

Lakefront ranch homes range in size from 800 square feet to over 2500 square feet. On the North side of the lake there are some wide and deep waterfront lots set back off the road. The road is paved on that side. I don’t know about the south side of the lake roads. The colonials that have been listed for sale in the last three years range in size from 1700 square feet to over 3900 square feet. Again like many Oakland County lakes the age of Cooley Lake homes range from 1920 to today. There are a few homes on the lake that they don’t even know when they were built!

Sugden Lake has low boat traffic which presents excellent opportunities for active water sports such as: water skiing, tubing, wake boarding and jet skiing. This also allows for quiet past times for fishing, kayaking and cruising. Sugden Lake White Lake Township MI is a natural lake, not a man made lake. There are few weeds naturally. There are no active or passive weed control methods being used on the lake as of 2011. Sugden waterfront properties – some are larger and are deep lots which are not as close together. There is easy access to the lake with a boat launch four lots to the east. Most roads are dirt rather then paved.

Mandon Lake White Lake Township MI
Mandon Lakefront homes are a mixed bag of homes built from the 1920’s to the 2000’s. You won’t find any mega mansions or lakefront homes with lots of frontage or acreage. Most of the Mandon Lake properties range from 40′ to 80′ of lake frontage. There are a few that are up over 100′ of lake frontage. The biggest one I know of is 3/4 of an acre. The largest lakefront home is a 2600 square foot colonial and the smallest one goes down to a 700 square foot ranch. There are ranches, bungalows, split level, and colonials on the lake.

Grass Lake in White Lake MI is one of many Southeastern Michigan lakes that haven’t been developed because it isn’t a big lake and it isn’t deep. Grass Lake is only 30.6 acres and is only about 10 ft deep. It has multiple islands. It has a few houses on the lake with a few sitting up on the hillside. To get to Grass Lake from Ormand Rd it is a gravel road. But on west side of the lake it is a paved road and on the east side it is a gravel road. Grass Lake home styles are colonial, ranch, cape cod, and bungalow style homes. Grass Lakefront properties range from 50′ to about 135′ lake frontage.

The name Round Lake comes from it’s shape. Round Lake home styles are ranches, bungalows, cape cods, and colonials. Many of the homes do not even have garages. It would be interesting to know how many of these properties are still just weekend homes. Many of Round Lake front homes were built from the 1918 -1950’s. There are some later built homes up to the 1990’s. This is what I would call a cottage lake. The majority of the lakefront homes are 800 square feet to 1400 square feet. There are very few lakefront homes over 2000 square feet. Though there is one colonial that is 5600 square feet. The children that live on the lake go to Walled Lake Schools.
