Michigan relocation tips

If you have a Michigan relocation tip we may have different association rules and fees then what you are used to. In Michigan our Home owner association fees or subdivision association fees cover many different items.  Most of the Metro Detroit subdivisions built after 1985 have association fees.

The most common are lawn maintenance for common areas like subdivision entrances, parks and green spaces.

Other usual items that subdivision/association fees cover:

  • road repair
  • road snow plowing
  • Christmas lighting at subdivision entrances
  • Landscape upkeep
  • Pool and club house up keep if there is one
