Lotus Lake in Waterford is a public all sports lake that is about 179 acres in size. It connects to Maceday Lake making them a total of 419 acres. Lotus Lake has no public access, but Maceday Lake does, so really Lotus Lake is a public lake because anybody can launch a boat on Maceday and come over to Lotus. Lotus Lake is a glacial lake and has a deep spot of 69 feet deep.

The lake lies in both Waterford and Independence Township. So the kids either go to Waterford Schools or Clarkston schools depending on where they live on the lake. Most of the lake is on city water and sewer.   They say Maceday Lake is one of the cleanest lakes in Oakland County.  So I would say that spills over to Lotus too.  Lotus Lake does have a natural area that is full of cattails.  I would imagine the wildlife watching on the lake is very good.

Hire a realtor with good references

Russ was very helpful during the entire process. He went through our home with us and told us how we should arrange things and what to remove so that it would show well. He had a frank discussion of pricing with us and made suggestions, but always did as we asked and was never pushy. Having never sold a house before, he walked us through what we should expect and explained fees and processes with us. He took very clear and flattering pictures of our house for the listing.
