One of the best house hunting tips I can give you when moving to Metro Detroit to find the home is your dreams is to:

Prioritize

Prioritize your city, your neighborhood and housing type search goals.   You can never get everything you want. But by prioritizing you may get the majority of your top wishes.

Some neighborhood and city priorities might be:

v  School and school systems

v  commuting routes back and forth to work

v  proximity to stores and restaurants

v  proximity to church or worship

v  proximity to family and friends, or people like you

v  proximity to community recreational facilities.

Some housing priorities might include

 house size

v  Layout

v  Style or exterior

v  number of bedrooms and bathrooms

v  other important rooms such as dining room, basement, great room, 1st floor laundry room

v  yard size or type

v  fenced yard

v  garage size

v   and home special features, such as a gourmet kitchen, fireplace, walk-in closets, hot tub or swimming pool.

Think about what you want and what will suit your family.  Then write it Remember that while some features are easily changed (e.g., the carpeting, paint, curtains), others are not.  If you have a Metro Detroit relocationin the future take the time to prioritize your wants, needs, and desires.  (Write them down to share with your realtor..  It will make your Metro Detroit relocation a little easier and THAT’S MY GOAL.  To make your Metro Detroit home purchase smooth and trouble free.
