Braver than me
I came across an article yesterday about a 14 year old named Malala Yousufzai a young Afghan girl who was very brave and had the courage to write about the Taliban and what they do to people. Malala is a blogger in Afghanistan. She blogs everyday. She is a peace prize winner for her work on ways to improve Afghanistan and the women’s life. The Taliban demanded veils for women, beards for men and a ban on music and television. Malala wanted to go to school and learn. They allowed boys’ schools to operate but closed those for girls. So she voiced her opinion like so many of us bloggers do. It was sad, yesterday she was shot in the head and neck by the Taliban. The Taliban had her on a hit list months ago to quiet her. But she kept writing hoping to improve her world. I give her credit because she is more courageous than alot of us. Would you want to continue to write if your family was threatened? Would you want to continue to write if your life was threatened? She was simply high lightening the Taliban normal activities and now in the hospital because of it. Some grown man directed violence and hatred against a child. Sad to say. So if you believe in God/Yahweh, Allah or whatever your religion’s high person say a prayer for her or ask for help for Malala. In this world to make it a little better place we need more children and people like her.
