Back in December I made the move to Keller Williams Realty. I was with a good firm before, but Keller Williams Realty offered me and my clients a little more. As a big national firm they have the money and the personnel to provide clients and myself with support and research. That is what attracted me to Keller Williams. The support and training help make me a better agent and provide better service to my clients. I know have more information that I do not have to research and put together myself for my clients. Keller Williams does some great videos for clients. Here is their National real estate update for February 2013.
Now let me tell how the National real estate update compares to the Michigan real estate market. Michigan home prices have gone up in the last month and in the last year too. Home prices are slowly coming back. They are not sky rocketing but they are going up. So as a buyer you would want to buy now if you could rather than waiting for a year. Interest rates are still low, so that makes it an even better time to buy.
Now for the items Michigan home buyers are looking for I would say they are pretty much the same thing that National home buyers are looking for except for one item. Michigan home buyers want energy efficient appliances, well insulated homes, newer double pain windows, and high efficiency furnaces. These are not must have items for Michigan home buyers. They are what I would call plus items. It would be a plus for a home buyer to have a 90+ high energy efficient furnace.
The only item that is not high on Michigan home buyers lists is a tankless water heater. Tankless water heaters have not caught on here in Michigan yet. I have yet to actually see more than ten of them in the last few years. When looking to buy or sell a Metro Detroit home give me a call or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
