Many clients whether they are Wixom home sellers or home buyers are unsure of the time frame of when an appraisal will be done. Since the mortgage meltdown banks are in control of the appraisals. The loan officers do not have control, nor do we your local Oakland County realtor have any control of when the appraisal is done.
Most banks and lenders try to do the appraisal quickly because they want a full package to submit to underwriting. Other banks take a long time to get it done. You just never know when the appraisal is going to be done on your piece of Wixom real estate. The key is not to worry about the appraisal. When it is done and we get notified of the appraisal results, then we will deal with it. We can’t rush them
No amount of calling will change the time frame. Once in a while I will get a client that will call me up and tell me that the appraisal has to be done by such and such date. I have to break it to them gently that they have no say in the matter. When it gets done then we are good. You can’t put a deadline on when an appraisal gets done. It’s just the way it is.
